Interpretation Requests (IR) are requests to the BACnet committee (SSPC) to better explain what is meant by certain wording in the standard. These requests for official interpretations can be for Standards 135, the original BACnet Standard as well as 135.1, the BACnet Companion Standard (Testing). An “Interpretation” is “The written explanation of the meaning of specific provisions of a standard or guideline, as determined by the IC [Interpretations Committee] or the PC [Project Committee, i.e., SSPC 135] in response to an IR.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
